Why use ozone to sanitize and clean
OZONE is a natural gas that has great disinfectant power. Active for the disinfection of water and air, it has a very strong activity on BACTERIA, VIRUSES, MOLDS, FUNGI and also has a DEODORANT action. OZONE has been known for a long time; the first patent on ozone production dates back to 1895.
Ozone is a very unstable gas, it becomes solid at -250°C, while its boiling temperature is 111°C. At room temperature it is in a gaseous state and is heavier than air; consequently, in the absence of air movement, it tends to go downwards. In nature it is produced by ultraviolet rays from the sun and by lightning during thunderstorms. Since its lifespan is very short, it must therefore be produced and used.
OZONE (O3) carries out its action of eliminating microorganisms and odors , through OXIDATION, losing an oxygen atom and returning to oxygen (O2) in approximately 20 minutes. The OZONE generators used by OZOSYSTEM produce ozone using oxygen in the air.

- Mode of action of ozone
- When OZONE comes into contact with an ORGANIC matter, an OXIDATION reaction occurs . In other words, bacteria, viruses, molds, but also chemical molecules that are perceived as odors, are oxidized, and consequently deactivated.
Therefore, “living” microorganisms are killed, while odor molecules are transformed into other molecules (odors are eliminated). - Since OZONE is a heavier gas than air, it penetrates deep into the fibers of fabrics (rugs, carpets, etc.), precisely where microorganisms and smelly substances nest, carrying out its action with great effectiveness and in depth.
